  1. Winter Agronomy Series

    MASSILLON, Ohio- Ohio State University (OSU) Extension of Stark County will host a Winter Agronomy Series at the RG Drage Career Technical Center in Massillon beginning January 30.  This educational series includes three sessions designed to assist, support and educate local agronomic crop and forage producers on timely topics and on-farm research opportunities.

    The Ohio State University will once again be hosting the Small Farm Conference and Trade Show.

    Mark your calenars now….the dates for the event will be Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th.  The new location for this year will be OSU South Centers in Piketon, Ohio.  Please see flyer attached and below for additional information.

  4. Small Scale Food Producer Workshops

    Are you are a small-scale food producer?  If so, you will want to attend this workshop. 

    This workshop is intended for small (< $1 million in sales/year) producers of fermented, canned, and other shelf-stable foods.

    This one-day course is a hands-on opportunity for processors to develop their food safety documentation in small groups with individual coaching from instructors.

    In today’s market, it is important to take advantage of any and all opportunities that make our cattle more desirable to the buyer sitting in the stands. As of now, Wendy’s restaurant, Tyson Foods and multiple auctions have announced that they will soon require producers to be certified in BQA in order to market their cattle or serve their product. To learn more and become certified, join us for a chute side training. A brief winter livestock update will also be shared. This program is co-sponsored by the Stark County Cattlemen’s Association.

  9. Maple Ohio Magazine and Maple Madness Tour 2017

    The Ohio Maple Producers Association (OMPA) is currently looking for Maple Syrup Producers who are interested in participating in their 2017 Maple Madness Driving Trail. The 2017 dates and times are March 4th-5th and March 11th-12th from 10:00am-5:00pm. It is not mandatory that you participate every day. Registration for the Maple Madness Tour is $50.
