OSUE & CollegeAdvantage Partner

As of January 1, 2012, the first 40 EFNEP graduates will receive a $25.00 scholarship from the CollegeAdvantage program.

The Ohio State University Extension’s Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) has partnered with the State of Ohio’s CollegeAdvantage program administered by the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority .  EFNEP provides free workshops in Stark, Mahoning, Portage and Summit County discussing making healthier food choices, food safety, stretching food dollars and increasing physical activity.  Participants engage in an interactive learning experience that includes a food tasting and a free lesson- related item to take home.

As of January 1, 2012, the first 40 EFNEP graduates will receive a $25.00 scholarship from the CollegeAdvantage program.  This partnership will allow 40 local EFNEP graduates to begin saving for their child’s education.      The scholarships will begin the process of investing in the child’s future educational goals.  Once the account is opened, parents and others can contribute to the account while benefiting from a state income tax savings.
